So as much as I complain about Jacksonville sucking and having nothing for cultured intellectual individuals to do... I have to admit I don't actively try to find things like that. Well every first wednesday in the month Jacksonville puts on its Artwalk, Which is a couple of blocks downtown converted to stuff related to art. They consider the start of the Artwalk to be the Museum of contemporary Art, then you self guide yourself through the rest. Its a pretty cool concept. I had never been, but I went for the first time this wednesday.

So today I go to take the United Postal Service Test and I pass with an 81.0. But I had no idea I passed, cause I didn't find that out until I got home. But to cam my nerves while leaving, I decided to snap a couple of shots, because fscj's campus was so beautiful!

So for the first time in my adult life I watched a college football game in earnest (barring my alma mater) yesterday. I had no idea I was going to to either, but as the adage goes "roll with the punches".

Well todays post has a bit of a story behind it. I went to the park to take some pictures, but I ended up meeting someone who told me a little of the backstory of the park. I got some much needed exercise by biking to the park and got to practice photography by pointing and clicking. So all in all today was quite the productive day.

Lets look at the parkCollapse )

So Jacksonville being the place it is has a great deal of parks. I'm an introvert that loves to spend time alone, so I figured why not go out with my headphones and camera and enjoy my life a little. So I did. I took a great deal of pictures, so even if it seems like a pic spam it really is a small percentage of the pics...

To continue with my entry spamming I come to christmas lights viewing... which happened to be incredibly amazing / cold.

I went out with my sister and two of her friends. We baked snicker-doodles, watched the nightmare before christmas (the score is soooooo frickin pro), and drove around looking at christmas lights. Here are just some of the houses we got to see.

I think this is the first time I have posted in like a year or something... incidentally its also the first time I picked up my camera in a year. But I am volunteering now and go downtown much more often. I am actually starting to like downtown jacksonville. I took some pictures on my way to volunteering, you can give them a look if you wish.

Man have I ever been slippin. I went to the circus like 4 days ago, and still hadn't made the blog entry... But anyways, this will be more like a photo dump.

So first off let me just say, the circus is old timey entertainment (like novels and stuff), before people had tv, and video games and movies. So given that, it can be hard for current generation people to get into it. But I had not been since I was a kid... Going as a young adult, I felt blown away and I really want to add circus to the list of things I do whenever I can. The acrobats and animal tamers were amazing. My pics can't do it justice, it was truly marvelous.

So my dad is trying to be a music manager / agent, and he had his first showcase for a band to arecord label yesterday. It was kinda cool. And the band was better than I thought they were going to be. It was pretty interesting... and we got free food, which was great. I forgot to take pics of the food... but I took pics of the crowd and the band.

So forwhatever reason, I'm a total dummy and I keep forgetting to up my christmas pics. This years christmas was an early one we had to wake up at like 6am, because my sister and her husband had to come early in the morning. Well to be honest thats not that early, but I was up at a party the night before, so it was early to me... Although it was still lots of fun.

So we had a bigger christmas than I expected, but still smaller than back in the days when I was a kid. I got presents for my family (unexpectedly) and presented all my family with a digital e-card (which can be found at this link http://poshpanda.hostoi.com/christmas/christmas.html ). I got a nice haul, witch will be viewed later. And topped it off with great food and teeth destroying candies (yayz!). But enough of my boring talking, let us getto the pics.
